Chocolate, Cocktails & More  

Come and join acclaimed chocolate maker, Glenys Baltimore and Yukon Brewing’s own Heather Gillespie, for an intimate night of sweet and savoury treats while you imbibe on classic cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.  What better way to kick off the Yukon Culinary Festival with this delectable evening showcasing two of the cities most creative businesses! Dishes served will include: Local Elk Brochettes with a Mexican Chocolate Sauce, Yukon Micro Greens in a Cocoa Nib Vinaigrette, The Claim’s Award Winning Chocolate Cake, Yukon Whisky Chocolate Truffles, Chocolate Martinis and more!

Cocktails featuring Yukon Spirts, Yukon Brewing Beers, a special menu for the evening, music and more! Cooking with Fire Wild Canadian Seafood and Game 

Inspired by the sensational Patagonian fire cooking technique, this event will embrace the open pit fire cooking methods of Argentina but showcase our local Yukon meat and produce, Alaskan seafood and the cooking techniques of guest chef Jason Pleym of Two Rivers Meats from Vancouver,  one of the driving forces behind Brewery and the Beast – one of the top fire cooking events in the country!  Joining Jason will be guest chef and festival organizer, Eric Pateman from Edible Canada as well as many of the Yukon’s top culinary talent who will be creating a veritable feast before your eyes.  Think local Elk, Rabbit, Pork and Bison, Pemberton Meadows Beef from Jason’s own farm, Icy Waters Arctic char, Dungeness crab, Alaskan Salmon and more all complimented with an assortment of salads and Canadian inspired desserts.  If you are a fan of outdoor cooking, amazing ingredients, lots of meat and a great time – this is the event of the year you do not want to miss!  Your ticket includes one drink ticket, a plethora of food, firepit entertaiment, music and more.  A fun cash bar will also be available so this evening may drift well into the evening! 19+ event.

Cocktails, Costumes and  Canapés on the S.S. Klondike a Parks Canada National Historic Site

Back by popular demand – Join us aboard the historical sternwheeler, the S.S. Klondike, a Parks Canada National Historic Site, as we “set sail” for another culinary adventure curated by celebrated local chefs Carson Schiffkorn and Troy King from Inn on the Lake. Music, interpretive culinary programming by Parks Canada, tasty bites, cash bar cocktails and beers by Yukon Spirits & Yukon Brewing – this event is one for the history books! This is your chance to get dressed up “Klondike Style” and celebrate like they would have back in the day!  There is not a better way to spend a Saturday evening in Whitehorse!  Limited tickets left, so hurry and get yours before they are gone.

Circle D Ranch ~ 1-3 p.m. 

End of the Festival Tractor Tailgate “Farm Lunch” 

Join us out at Circle D Ranch for a not-so-traditional” Sunday lunch on the farm where Chefs Eric Pateman and Jason Pleym will craft a lunch over open fire showcasing products from the farm and local suppliers including local Elk and haskap berries, Icy Waters Arctic char, as well as other traditional Yukon products. The lunch will be served in the barn on the property with stories from the chefs and Circle D’s own Farmer Bill. A cash bar with Okanagan Wine, Yukon Brewing beer and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for your pleasure – so grab a drink, take a walk and explore the farm and then sit and enjoy a leisurely lunch the way it was meant to be on a Sunday. Ticket are only $39.95! Only 100 available.

Chef Cooking Demos Showcasing Yukon Producers

at the Fireweed Market

Using local vegetables and products from the Fireweed Market, the YCF will host cooking demonstrations by chefs including Edible Canada’s Eric Pateman, Two River’s meats Jason Pleym, celebrity cookbook Author Miche Genest and The Claim’s legendary chocolatier Glenys Baltimore,  Come and learn some easy and fun dishes and ask the experts all your burning questions on how to best prepare our stunning Yukon ingredients!  Demos will be from 3pm to 5pm every half hour.
