We’ve challenged restaurants to celebrate local! Check out the participating restaurants and discover their uniquely crafted local menu item during the month of August.

Antoinette’s: Learn to LIME through pure niceness and good food at Antoinette’s. Recognized at the 2019 Start Up Canada Awards as Woman Entrepreneur of the Year and awarded Best Customer Service by the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce, you don’t want to miss the Arctic Char burger Antoinette’s this August!

Roasters of certified organic fair trade coffee. Visit Bean North’s cafe-in-the woods where they serve our delicious coffee as well as homemade soups, paninis and baked goods. Don’t miss their local dish this month!

Be sure to swing by the Horwoods Malls for Bullet Holes’ Big Farma bagel featuring house made pesto with greens from Elemental Farms and parmigiano reggiano and basil infused olive oil from Cultured Fine Cheese, house made hummus and Yukon grown tomatoes and cucumbers this month!

At Blackbird Bakery, Kayla and her team pride themselves on making baking beautiful, old fashioned desserts, that their Grandma’s would be proud of. Everything is made by hand, from scratch, using the best ingredients available. So, don’t miss out on their mini loafs of haskap berry sweet bread using eggs from Little Red Hen and haskaps from the Yukon Berry farm.

G&Ps new very talented & passionate head Chef Jordan has thoughtfully created the one and only – The Yukon Big Bite Burger & Onion bloomr!
Made with love, exclusively using Ybar Meats Yukon born and ethically raised beef and slab bacon. This succulent gourmet burger features big bite secret purple slaw, G&P’s very own Yukon Made balsamic reduction, carmelized onions & applewood smoked cheddar! Yes we are serious – G&P has a burger and we can’t wait for you to get your paws on it!

Chef Robert Brouillette of the Gold Pan Saloon has come up with a confit rabbit grilled caesar salad for the month of August. The rabbit, lettuce, croutons and eggs are all sourced locally from Sarah’s Harvest, Little Red Hen’s, Alpine Bakery and Flat Creek Farms.

Join the award winning, Yukon family owned and operated Inn on the Lake for their daily chefs table menu that will feature Yukon ingredients.

Klondike Rib and Salmon is housed in the two oldest buildings in Whitehorse. You don’t want to miss out on their Spirit in the Sky dish featuring Northern whitefish drizzled with Kiki’s rosehip syrup and Spirit of the North arctic char drizzled with Big Boots spruce pine tip syrup. Lit up by their Northern Lights beet puree infused with local earthy Yukon Brewing Artisan Gin and garnished with Bob’s fresh local micro greens. Finished with a dusting of handpicked fireweed petals.

Enjoy a cold smoked, grilled Berkshire pork chop from Can Do farm with seasonings from the Twisted Gourmet and a local mushroom hunter sauce under one of the largest outdoor patios in Whitehorse. All prepared by Chef Brian Smith.

Asian inspired ramen bar by Chef Troy King and Restaurateur Romi Yu are dishing up a special Midnight Sun Tantan-men for August.
House made thin wheat noodles, rich bone broth using Flat Creek farms pork bones and Can Do farms beef bones, very spicy Flat Creek farms ground pork, Elemental Farms spicy lettuce mix, soft boiled soy marinated egg, fresh corn, nori, bean sprouts, puffed wild rice, green onions.
